THE LYRES

(reissues)

Rarely has anyone shown such devotion and reverence to the spirit of rock and roll without coming off as pastiche. Lyres were one of the first to marry the garage-punk ethos with true veneration for the past. Licensed from Ace of Hearts, Matador presents the full Lyres "amazine years" discography... we're releasing all their records from 1983 through 1988 and that includes their first EP, AHS 1005, the three albums, and all their single B-sides from this period. On top of that there are tons of previously unreleased tracks, songs that haven't even seen was on the numberous Lyres bootlegs that came out in the late 80s/early 90s. Summa Summarum: 4 CDs, 66 tracks of creepy Lyres magic.
